The Minnesota Vikings reportedly have waived 2015 6th round draft pick OT Tyrus Thompson off injured reserved.
Andrew Krammer of 1500ESPN reports that Thompson was waived without an injury settlement.
Thompson was supposedly battling for a roster spot when he left the final preseason game with a possible concussion. The rookie went into the concussion protocol after that game and the lack of injury settlement indicates that he ultimately passed his concussion tests.
An Oklahoma product, Thompson was initially put into the starting right guard competition by Vikings coaches but he quickly fell out of that particular mix.
