In a game that, ultimately, didn’t mean anything for either team, the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions put on an entertaining contest to end the season at Ford Field.
Paced by a 400-yard performance by Kirk Cousins and a record-setting day from Justin Jefferson, the Vikings held on for a 37-35 victory over the Lions to end their 2020 season.
The home team got on the board first in this one, with Matthew Stafford connecting with Marvin Jones for a 43-yard touchdown with just under five minutes remaining in the first quarter. Matt Prater missed the extra point, leaving the Lions’ lead at 6-0.
