MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The mayors of Minneapolis and Seattle are throwing down on the big Sunday playoff game between the Vikings and the Seahawks.
Mayor Betsy Hodges’ office says if the Vikes are victorious, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray will send her fresh salmon from the world-famous Pike Place Fish Market, Starbucks Coffee and Kings Donuts.
But if the Seahawks win, Murray will enjoy beer from Indeed Brewing Company in northeast Minneapolis, a stocking cap and mittens from Askov Finlayson, dates from Karmel Mall and — perhaps the most-prized trophy — a Prince T-shirt.
“I have a feeling [the Seahawks] might just come to TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday and fall flat on their faces because Teddy Bridgewater and our dominating defense are clearly ready for revenge,” Hodges said.
