Last year around this time, some were predicting that the Minnesota Vikings might have to find another new offensive coordinator for the 2019 season. Some assumed that John DeFilippo was going to do such a great job as Minnesota’s offensive coordinator last year that he was going to leave in 2019 to become a head coach somewhere.
However, the Vikings’ offense ended up regressing under DeFilippo and he was fired before the season was even finished. So they did actually hire someone new to run the offense for 2019, it just wasn’t due to what some people were predicting last year.
