EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings left tackle Matt Kalil did not practice for the second straight day on Thursday, and the team was again without two defensive starters as it gets ready for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
Kalil, who played every snap on Sunday, had been dealing with a hip issue since the end of the preseason, and was seen leaving the team facility with head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman before Wednesday's practice. He was watching during the open portion of practice on Thursday, and Friday's practice will be pivotal for him as he tries to avoid missing his first regular-season NFL game.
