EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The first -- and possibly most significant -- change for the Minnesota Vikings' offense came quick, in the wake of the team's 10-9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, which capped a two-week stretch in which the Vikings scored one offensive touchdown in their two biggest games of the season. Coach Mike Zimmer informed reporters on Tuesday he'd let go of offensive line coach Jeff Davidson, who'd been in charge of a group that had gone from foundation to liability in two short years.
The Vikings kept Davidson from coach Leslie Frazier's staff, blocking him from interviewing with the Atlanta Falcons after the 2013 season and keeping him in charge of a group that new offensive coordinator Norv Turner praised for its continuity before the 2014 season.
