Having been born and raised in Minnesota, several letters especially caught my attention as I rifled through the pile of correspondence written to Hall of Fame Head Coach Bud Grant.
The envelope from Herb Brooks immediately piqued my interest. I first researched Brooks years ago after seeing the Disney film Miracle – and have since learned even more about him thanks to my hockey-loving friend and roommate, Bethany. Reading the words sent by one icon to another didn’t disappoint.
Fantastic, vintage Minnesota Twins letterhead drew my eyes to the top of a message typed by longtime Minnesota reporter and broadcaster Halsey Hall.
