MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings running backs coach Kirby Wilson will officially become the Cleveland Browns' running game coordinator.
The veteran coach, whose contract expired Tuesday, flew to Cleveland to interview with the team Wednesday and was hired to work for new Browns coach Hue Jackson, ESPN's Josina Anderson reported. Wilson has long said his dream is to be an offensive coordinator in the NFL, missing out on a chance to become the Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive coordinator when a house fire nearly claimed his life in 2012. He interviewed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2014 and the Jacksonville Jaguars last year.
