There isn’t a whole lot of news coming out of the Minnesota Vikings’ team facilities at the moment, but there was a big moment today for one of the players that they drafted last month.
The team has announced that cornerback Khyree Jackson has signed his rookie contract with the team. This means that five of the team’s seven draft choices are now, officially, under contract.
Jackson was the Vikings’ fourth-round pick out of the University of Oregon in last month’s selection meeting. He’s had an interesting trip to get to where he is, as he dropped out of the first community college he attended and went to work at a supermarket in Maryland.
