Kevin Williams Signs 1-Day Contract To Retire With Vikings

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota Vikings announced Wednesday that they have signed defensive tackle Kevin Williams to a one-day contract.

Williams, a former All-Pro and a member of the 50 Greatest Vikings, will announce his retirement from football on Thursday. He was drafted by the Vikings in 2003 and spent 10 seasons in Minnesota.

Williams played 203 career NFL games, including 193 starts, over 13 seasons. With the Vikings, he was selected to the Pro Bowl six times and All-Pro five times. He finished eighth in Vikings history with 60 sacks and set a team record with 171 starts at defensive tackle.
