With training camp set to open on Saturday, the Minnesota Vikings have added to their cornerback depth by signing free agent Josh Thomas.

The 26-year-old Thomas was drafted in the 5th round in 2011 by the Dallas Cowboys but was wavied before the start of the season. Thomas was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers and played in nine games his rookie season.
Thomas played in 29 games over the next two years with Carolina, including 10 starts. In that time he amassed 28 tackles, 1 interception and nine passes defensed.
