Jonathan Greenard got an opportunity to face his former team on Sunday afternoon when the Minnesota Vikings played host to the Houston Texans. Greenard was a big reason that the game turned into a blowout, and today he was recognized for his performance.
Greenard has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 3 of this season. It is the first time he’s received a Defensive Player of the Week honor in his career.
Greenard finished his game on Sunday with three quarterback sacks and was a huge part of the reason that Texans’ offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil had so many issues on Sunday.
