Labor Day was a day off for Vikings center John Sullivan but truth be told Sullivan probably would have preferred to be out there preparing for the season opener rather than standing on the sidelines.
Standing on the sidelines is about all Sullivan has been doing for the last few weeks as he battles back spasms but according to Mike Zimmer the center is getting closer (via ESPN):
“He’s getting better every day,” Zimmer said. “We might get him out here a little tomorrow, so we’ll see. We’ll see how he improves.”
