A week ago, the announcement came down that Minnesota Vikings’ cornerback Jeff Gladney would have his case heard by a grand jury in Texas on 22 July. While it seemed unlikely that Gladney was going to be at Training Camp when things started, today’s announcement pretty much seals that.
Gladney’s court date has been pushed back one week to 29 July. That puts it a day after the start of camp at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, so any chance that Gladney might have been there appears to have evaporated.
Gladney faces several charges, most notably third-degree family violence assault, stemming from an April incident with his girlfriend.
