EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings' only practice of the week, before players depart for their bye-week breaks, isn't meant to help the team prepare for a specific opponent. As such, it's safe to assume the Vikings were playing it safe with a number of the veterans who weren't practicing on Tuesday.
Wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who missed Sunday's game with a groin injury, remained out, as did tight end Rhett Ellison and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, who sat out on Sunday with knee injuries. Guard Brandon Fusco, who is in the NFL's concussion protocol, also did not practice.
