Understanding Why 2018 Was a Dud
The first thing to understand about why the Vikings offense, with largely the same players, or same caliber players, as the past two seasons, regressed so much last season after a top ten performance in 2017.
The answer is a simple. The Vikings lost two important coaches from 2017 - offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur and offensive line coach Tony Sparano - and their replacements were not up to the task.
