It's a tie! Vikings-Seahawks kickoff is NFL's 3rd coldest

With the temperature minus-6 degrees at kickoff, the Vikings on Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium played the coldest game in their history and tied for the third coldest in the NFL history.

It was minus-25 wind chill factor.

The only games ever colder than the playoff game against Seattle were minus-13 for Dallas at Green Bay in the NFL Championship Game on Dec. 31, 1967 and minus-9 for a playoff game of San Diego at Cincinnati on Jan. 10, 1982. Indianapolis played at Kansas City in a playoff game on Jan. 7, 1996 with the temperature also minus-6.
