Harrison Smith, Stefon Diggs active for Vikings vs. Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- As the Minnesota Vikings try to keep their flickering playoff hopes alive on Saturday at Lambeau Field, their defense will get a boost.

Safety Harrison Smith will return from a sprained left ankle to play against the Green Bay Packers, after he practiced this week for the first time in December. Smith walked out of the Vikings' locker room on crutches after a loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 1, and it remains to be seen whether he'll play his normal role against the Packers.
