In his second year with the team, defensive lineman Harrison Phillips is having an outstanding season for the Minnesota Vikings. But, as has been the case during the entirety of his time in the NFL, he might be even better off of it.
Before returning to Minneapolis following the Vikings’ bye week, Phillips took a group of children with developmental differences on a shopping trip in his native Omaha. Each of the children that went on the trip was given $100 that they could spend on anything they wanted.
The children are members of Harrison’s Playmakers, a non-profit that coaches and mentors children with social, physical, and economic challenges.
