The culture that has been a part of the Minnesota Vikings franchise since 1961 sets it apart from any other team.
I got a great reminder of that this past weekend, between the alumni dinner Saturday, the game Sunday, the halftime presentation for Mick Tingelhoff, and just everything I witnessed wherever I went all weekend.
Many of the former players who attended the dinner Saturday night spoke, and what they said, again and again, was that the Vikings were different. Many of us played for other teams at various points, including the Hall of Famers. I spent five seasons in New York, but I don't think of myself as a Giant.
