For years, Mick Tingelhoff was charged with protecting Fran Tarkenton in the Minnesota Vikings' offense.
On Saturday night, at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, they had the opportunity to switch roles.
Tingelhoff, who has experienced numerous health issues, including memory problems, decided that he would not be speaking at his induction. Instead, his former quarterback gave a short and emotional speech on Tingelhoff's behalf.
