While site preparation has been underway for months, this week marked a major milestone for the Minnesota Vikings and the City of Eagan as foundation work began on the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center. After excavation for footings and foundations commenced Monday, rebar was delivered to the site Thursday, and the project’s first concrete footings are expected to be poured next week. The significant moment comes on the heels of the City Council’s formal approval of the Vikings final construction plans for Phase I, which includes the team’s headquarters and practice facility.
Meanwhile, the new Vikings Parkway is being constructed while site prep for the new Twin Cities Orthopedics medical building is also ongoing.
