Former Vikings QB Brooks Bollinger happy coaching at Cretin-Derham Hall

Brooks Bollinger was out of coaching for a year after stepping away from his role as quarterbacks coach at the University of Pittsburgh.

One year was all he could handle.

"It was the first year of my life that I wasn't really associated with (football), whether it be one of my dad's teams or playing or coaching," Bollinger said. "I wasn't directly affiliated with a team, so it was certainly strange."

After spending 2014 away from football, Bollinger -- a former Badgers and Vikings quarterback -- returned to the field this fall to serve as Cretin-Derham Hall's quarterbacks coach.
