Former Vikings defender sends a statement to old team with Instagram post

It’s been a difficult two years for Sharrif Floyd. After it appeared the defensive tackle was progressing into something special with the Minnesota Vikings, he suffered a setback in 2016 when he injured his knee.

Floyd then underwent a routine surgery to repair his injury and since then, his life has never been the same.

Following his surgery it was revealed that the operation unfortunately damaged some nerves in his leg, causing his quadriceps to not properly function. Thanks to the mishap, Floyd has not suited up for an NFL game since the Vikings took on the Tennessee Titans in the first week of the 2016 season.
