After spending only a fraction of the 2016 NFL season with the Minnesota Vikings, offensive tackle Jake Long has made the tough decision to bring his National Football League career to a close.
Long was the #1 overall selection in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins coming out of the University of Michigan, where he won several Big Ten and All-American awards for his play at left tackle.
After joining the Dolphins, he immediately became the teams’s starter at left tackle. During his first four years, he was named to the Pro Bowl 4 times and earned a spot on the All-Pro first and second teams twice.
