The latest player to be informed of his release is wide receiver Donte Foster. Foster played his college football at the University of Ohio, and signed with the Vikings after going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. Foster spent last season on the practice squad, and came back with the team this season. This preseason, he had two receptions for ten yards.
This isn't a surprise, to be honest. With as deep as the Vikings are at wide receiver now, it was going to be tough for anyone to break into the top six.
