We’ve made it through the first quarter at U.S. Bank Stadium, and your Minnesota Vikings are tied with the Detroit Lions, 7-7.
The Lions got the football first in this one as they won the coin toss and elected to receive rather than defer. The Lions pushed into Minnesota territory on the strength of a couple of nice throws from Jared Goff, and eventually found their way into the end zone on a 1-yard run from David Montgomery. That was the first touchdown allowed in the first quarter by the Vikings in nine weeks, and it gave the Lions an early 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter.
