We’ve finished the first quarter of play at U.S. Bank Stadium, and the Detroit Lions and your Minnesota Vikings are tied at 3-3.
The purple won the coin toss and deferred to the second half, giving Jared Goff and the Lions the football first. Detroit pushed the ball down the field but, eventually, the Vikings’ defense stiffened up and the Lions settled for a 39-yard field goal from Austin Seibert to give the visitors an early 3-0 lead.
The Vikings then answered with a field goal of their own, with Greg Joseph connecting from 38 yards out to tie things up at 3-3 after each team’s first possession.
