We’re through one quarter of play at U.S. Bank Stadium, and your Minnesota Vikings lead the Detroit Lions by a score of 7-0.
The Vikings won the toss and chose to defer to the second half, giving the visitors the football first. The first drive was outstanding for the defense, with two deflected passes (one by Harrison Smith and one by Shamar Stephen) followed by a sack of David Blough by Danielle Hunter. That sack made Hunter the youngest player in NFL history to accumulate 50 sacks.
Minnesota got into Detroit territory on their first possession, but wound up having to punt.
