Despite loss of Phil Loadholt, Vikings 'feel good' about offensive line

Phil Loadholt's season officially ended Tuesday when the right tackle was placed on injured reserve.

To take Loadholt's spot on the roster, the Vikings signed tackle Stephen Goodin. Undrafted out of Nebraska-Kearney in 2012, Goodin was signed by the New York Giantsand played one game in 2013.

He was with Dallas during the 2014 preseason.

Loadholt suffered a torn left Achilles tendon in last Saturday's 26-16 preseason win over Tampa Bay. He missed the final five games of last season because of a torn labrum.

Coach Mike Zimmer said he has exchanged texts with Loadholt.
