When it came time to make their first of two sixth-round picks in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings decided to select German wide receiver Moritz Böhringer. Eight picks later, the Vikings were on the clock again and this time they went with UTSA tight end David Morgan.
Fast forward to now and Morgan is still on Minnesota’s roster while Böhringer is a member of the Cincinnati Bengals where he’s attempting to make a position switch to tight end.
During the past three seasons, Morgan has quickly developed into the Vikings’ best blocking tight end on their roster.
