Danielle Hunter to undergo season-ending neck surgery

After the Minnesota Vikings made the decision earlier on Thursday to trade one of their pass rushers away, they have learned that another star defensive end will not be returning this season as previously hoped.

Numerous sources on social media are reporting that defensive end Danielle Hunter will be undergoing surgery to repair a herniated disc in his neck, a move that will officially end his 2020 season before it even gets underway.

Hunter stopped practicing with the team in mid-August with what head coach Mike Zimmer had described as a “tweak.
