The first. . .and, quite literally, the biggest. . .signing that the Minnesota Vikings made this offseason was to acquire the services of defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, formerly of the New York Giants. Tomlinson will pair with the returning Michael Pierce in the middle of the Vikings’ defensive line in the hopes of shoring up a defense that got uncharacteristically gashed in the run game for much of the 2020 season.
On Wednesday, Tomlinson was interviewed by Jim Rome and talked about why he chose to sign with the Vikings.
The clip is pretty short, but Tomlinson talks about the Vikings being the right fit for him, as well as how he can help the Vikings with that run defense as well as help out with the pass rush a bit, something that he doesn’t have much of a reputation for at this point.
