We’ve already talked a bit about the verdict entered against the National Football League in the Sunday Ticket trial that concluded last week. While it doesn’t look like the verdict would be connected to the league’s push for an 18th regular season game on the surface, a slightly deeper look says that one thing could lead to another.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is reporting that the league could use the (potentially) $14 billion judgment they’ve been faced with as the catalyst for pushing for an 18-game regular season schedule, which would likely mean that the NFL season would start on Labor Day weekend and conclude on President’s Day weekend.
