EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Vikings on Friday announced that Pat Shurmur has been named offensive coordinator and additional changes to the coaching staff.
Shurmur stepped into the role on an interim basis for the final nine games of 2016 after starting the season — his first with Minnesota — as tight ends coach.
The Vikings offense began evolving before the season started when Teddy Bridgewater suffered a dislocated knee and torn ACL on Aug. 30.
Minnesota traded with Philadelphia to acquire Sam Bradford on Sept.
