Over the past few days, we’ve mentioned the four interviews that Minnesota Vikings’ offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur has lined up for head coaching vacancies around the National Football League. Now, one of the teams that will be interviewing Shurmur has asked permission to interview his counterpart on the other side of the ball.
Per Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Chicago Bears have asked for permission to interview Vikings’ Defensive Coordinator George Edwards.
Edwards has been the Vikings’ defensive coordinator since Mike Zimmer became the head coach in 2014.
