EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The call that came for Chad Greenway on the first day of the 2006 NFL draft was not from the area code his then-fiancee, Jennifer Capista, was hoping for.
"Her goal was to be drafted by anybody south of Iowa," Greenway said Tuesday. "There's like three teams or four teams [that wouldn't meet the requirement]. And we go to Minnesota."
The linebacker from Mount Vernon, S.D., and the distance runner from Shorewood, Ill., were looking to flee the same thing about the Upper Midwest that many seek to escape: the cold.
