The Vikings have announced via their Twitter account that Chad Beebe has in fact agreed to a new contract. He will come back to Minnesota in 2021 on what is very likely a team-friendly deal. In order to keep him from hitting free agency, the Vikings would have had to offer the 26-year-old $2.133 million. Details have not been released as of yet on how much he will make in 2021. Clearly, though, the Vikings didn’t want to offer him that much as he was allowed to enter the market.
Beebe joined the team in 2018 as an undrafted free agent, and while he has certainly outperformed that status, he is not quite the ideal WR3 for this team.
