Not long after the news came down that Minnesota Vikings’ Offensive Coordinator Kevin Stefanski was being tabbed by the Cleveland Browns to fill the NFL’s last remaining head coaching vacancy, speculation began that the Vikings could be angling for a reunion with Pat Shurmur. Shurmur, who was fired as the head coach of the New York Giants after two seasons, experienced a great deal of success with the Vikings, helping to engineer a trip to the 2017 NFC Championship Game behind Case Keenum.
Those hopes were short-lived, however, as numerous outlets are reporting that Shurmur will instead be heading out west to be the Offensive Coordinator for the Denver Broncos.
