EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- In his first press conference after he'd had a chance to watch film of his game-ending fumble against the Arizona Cardinals last Thursday, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater said his only option on the final play was to throw the ball over Adrian Peterson's head.
With the Vikings down by three and on the Cardinals' 31-yard line with 13 seconds left on Thursday night, Bridgewater was waiting for Kyle Rudolph and Jarius Wright to get to the right side of the field on crossing routes from the left side of the Vikings' formation. He was getting ready to unload the ball when Dwight Freeney got around Matt Kalil and stripped the ball from Bridgewater, causing a fumble the Cardinals recovered to end the Vikings' chances for a comeback.
