Former CFL linebacker Brian Peters came close to making the Vikings roster out of training camp but ultimately was cut only to be re-signed to the practice squad.
On Wednesday Peters was plucked away from the Vikings practice squad by the Houston Texans who plan on using him to bolster their special teams.
Peters gave a little scouting report on himself to the Houston Chronicle:
“As far as kick coverage, I would say I have versatility,” Peters said. “As far as my build and athleticism, I think I’m built to to be successful on special teams.
