Ben Dogra thought he could get his client Adrian Peterson traded out of Minnesota by putting public pressure on the Vikings. Or at the very least, maybe he could use that pressure to leverage the Vikings into giving Peterson some guaranteed money.
Rick Spielman made it clear from the beginning that the Vikings would not trade Peterson, though that didn’t stop folks from speculating about possible deals.
When yesterday’s draft first round came and went without a Peterson trade, it became obvious to everyone that Spielman isn’t bluffing. He really isn’t going to trade Adrian Peterson.
Even dogged Ben Dogra must now concede that Peterson is almost certainly going to be staying with the Vikings at least for one more year.
