If you're in the Twin Cities area and planning on attending tonight's preseason contest between the Minnesota Vikings and the Oakland Raiders at TCF Bank Stadium, you're probably already aware of the potential for some pretty nasty weather. As of about 2:30 PM Central time, the Twin Cities are actually under a tornado watch that will stretch out to 11:00 PM Central time.
This is the part where I use my vast meteorological training to inform everyone that a tornado watch means that the conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms with the potential for producing tornadoes.
