In what the franchise is calling an the NFL first, the Vikings will install lactation suites for nursing mothers.
The suites -- 4-foot-by-8-foot mobile pods with a bench and an electrical outlet -- are made by Vermont company Mamava.
Two are coming to TCF Bank Stadium, where the Vikings are playing their home games this season. The team says it expects them to arrive in time for the Oct. 18 game. Another two are going to the Vikings corporate offices.
"While we certainly encourage breastfeeding mothers to nurse where they feel comfortable, we have become increasingly aware of the need many moms have for the privacy," said Vikings Chief Operating Officer Kevin Warren in a statement.
