MINNEAPOLIS -- When Alex Boone left the San Francisco 49ers for the Minnesota Vikings in March, he initially believed he was trading the Bay Area climate for some of the league's harshest conditions. In reality, he was a year too late.
"I was like, 'Alright, we get to play outside!" Boone said at U.S. Bank Stadium's media day Thursday. "Guys are like, 'Dude you're an idiot -- no. We're going to be inside.' But it's OK. It'll be fun here."
After playing two seasons outdoors at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium, the Vikings move back indoors to their $1.
