The Vikings on Tuesday resolved unfinished business with repentant running back Adrian Peterson, agreeing to restructure the final three years of the superstar's contract.
Terms were not disclosed. However, multiple national media reports indicated the restructuring guaranteed more of the $44.2 million remaining on Peterson's contract, which runs through 2017.
A team statement said the sides "mutually agreed" to the deal, which was announced four days before players report to training camp in Mankato.
The move ostensibly reconciles whatever tensions remained between the Vikings and Peterson, the franchise player who sat out 15 games in 2014 while embroiled in a child abuse scandal.
