Heading into a Week 1 matchup against his former team in 2017, Adrian Peterson wasn’t too happy with the Minnesota Vikings for letting him hit free agency a few months earlier. Then with the New Orleans Saints, Peterson said that he planned to, “stick it to (the Vikings),” in his return to U.S. Bank Stadium.
Well, it didn’t exactly work out the way the veteran running back had hoped. Minnesota easily defeated the Saints in their 2017 regular season opener and Peterson was held to just 18 rushing yards on six carries.
