The 33-year old running back is going to try and give it another go. This time with the Washington Redskins.
Adrian Peterson signed a one-year deal with Washington on Monday. The Redskins approached Peterson probably after the team lost both backups. Samaje Perine and Byron Marshall both sustained leg injuries in the second game of the preseason. Neither one is expected to miss a lot of time.
Washington also lost out on projected starter Derrius Guice to an ACL tear in his left knee. The team still has both Rob Kelley and Chris Thompson.
