The Minnesota Vikings have been reworking their defensive secondary in the face of tragedy and injury this off-season. The changes include not just personnel, but also changes to scheme as Brian Flores prepares his defense for the 2024 regular season.
It remains to be seen which players make the final 53-man roster, but at this point it seems clear that the starters will likely be Stephon Gilmore and Shaq Griffin at outside corner, Byron Murphy Jr. at slot corner, and Cam Bynum and Harrison Smith at safety.
But what does the new personnel enable for Brian Flores and the scheme he’s looking to employ?
