Pro Bowl defensive end Everson Griffen’s time with the Minnesota Vikings has come to an end. The 10-year veteran posted an emotional goodbye to the organization after removing himself from contract talks.
This represents a significant blow for the Vikings. They were hoping he would agree to a new deal after opting out earlier this offseason. Sadly, an agreement was not reached and Griffen has decided to move on.
Griffen achieved legendary status with Minnesota after coming back from a serious mental health battle to re-establish himself as a locker room leader. His presence will be sorely missed within the franchise.
